THIS JOB ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MULTIPLE C.M.A ROLES IN THE ST. PAUL / MINNEAPOLIS AREA.
JOB SUMMARY: As a Medical Assistant at Seasoned Recruitment, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Your primary duties will include triaging patients, taking vital signs, assisting with minor procedures, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the urgent care facility. This position reports to the Practice Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Triage and assess patients upon arrival, accurately recording patient information.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.
- Assist healthcare professionals with minor procedures, wound care, and suture removal.
- Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine dipsticks and rapid strep tests.
- Administer medications and perform medication reconciliations.
- Assist with patient education and provide follow-up instructions.
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely documentation and communication.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of examination rooms and equipment.
- Order and stock medical supplies and maintain inventory.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Perform other administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling medical records.
Schedule and Shift Details
● Day/Evening shifts, 60 hours per pay period, Every 3rd Weekend Shift Travel
● Local travel using personal vehicle may be required
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience working in an urgent care or emergency care setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
