As Building Caretaker, you play an integral role in supporting both residents and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors. This position involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep of the building and its grounds, ensuring the property is well-maintained and that residents receive excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
1. Cleaning & Maintenance
- Ensure all common areas (lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, etc.) are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.
- Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
2. Groundskeeping
- Maintain outdoor areas, including snow removal, landscaping, and general upkeep of the property grounds to ensure safety and aesthetics.
3. Resident Relations
- Assist office staff with the delivery of notices and other communications to residents.
- Address resident concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
4. Additional Duties
- Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with office staff and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
- May require an occasional weekend
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform light physical labor, including snow removal and cleaning tasks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or respond to urgent needs.
Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Basic math & measuring skills
- Ability to stand, lift, climb, bend, push, pull, & kneel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or personal information
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, & reliable vehicle (Driving between locations will be required)
