About the Role:

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Finance Team focusing on payroll, bookkeeping, expense processing, and administrative support for our U.S. operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting, you will ensure our financial processes are both accurate and efficient. In this role, you will be entrusted with executing daily financial tasks, maintaining orderly financial records, and reinforcing our financial operations framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Administering the payroll process accurately and punctually, handling timesheets, wage calculations, taxes, and deductions.
  • Keeping precise records of financial transactions in line with accounting principles, updating the general ledger, managing journal entries, and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing and processing company expenses, ensuring they adhere to company policies and are accurately recorded.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to streamline the efficiency of the finance department, including managing financial documentation and assisting in audit preparations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, guaranteeing data integrity and adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Keeping abreast of financial laws and regulations to ensure all financial operations are compliant.
  • Identifying and contributing to the implementation of process improvements to refine financial operations and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supporting the FP&A team with reporting and variance analysis
  • Supporting the Accounting Manager on periodic management reporting and statutory lodgements. 

Requirements

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and expense management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, ideally 
  • An exceptional eye for detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems to improve financial processes and outcomes.
  • A solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all financial activities are conducted in line with legal standards and best practices.
