M.S. Walker has an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor. We are looking for a strong leader with at least 3 years of experience supervising a team of 5 or more warehouse employees that can build third-shift employees and hold them accountable. The 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor will manage a group of 5-8 individuals that pick or load in their department. Basic computer skills, management experience, and bilingual are helpful skills. We are looking for a strong leader that can motivate employees through communication and KPI's.

Responsibilities:
Safety
- Conduct daily warehouse checks (at the beginning and end of the shift) to make sure the warehouse is in good condition.
- Monitor that all operations are conducted following safety procedures and that the safety of the workers that you are responsible for is of paramount importance.
- Properly secure and alarm premises when it is your responsibility to do so.
- Ensure Forklift inspections are being done.
- Ensure all employees are trained on PIT.
Team Building
- Supervise, train, and motivate all union employees.
- Promote team building and a positive workplace culture.
- Capable of both positive feedback and constructive criticism.
Compliance
- Implement work pace to ensure goals are met.
- Properly document all actions of union employees including, but not limited to: absences, lateness, violations of company and contractual rules and regulations.
- Monitor employee performance and give feedback.
- Write and conduct reviews for all union personnel.
- Track employee performance on WMS and WCS. Utilize excel to track.
Communication
- Attend weekly supervisor meetings and communicate issues/express ideas that could potentially better the warehouse operations.
- Communicate and relay vital operational information to fellow supervisors and management, in emails or in person.
- Fill in on the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Night Operations Manager on days and times when they are not present.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3-5 years of supervising 5+ warehouse employees
- 3rd shift experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to adapt to changes and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of safety in a warehouse (OSHA certified)
- Experience with warehouse machines (pallet jack, order picker, reach, and forklift)
- Knowledge of WMS
- Experience with project management
- Bilingual (Creole, French, or Spanish preferred)
- Conflict resolution experience
