Teacher: Veritas Prep Summer Academy
Veritas Prep is looking for strong Math, Biology, and ELA teachers to plan and deliver a four-week academic experience for students to increase their academic achievement and recover lost credits.
The teachers would plan and deliver a grade-level curriculum (rising 10th graders will be invited), monitor student progress, and report outcomes to the Summer Academy Director. The goal of the program is for more students to get targeted academic support to help them meet grade level standards as we support our students to recover credit in Biology, English, and Mathematics.
Teacher responsibilities include:
- Plan for grade level acceleration and remediation on key standards as indicated by school leaders.
- Track daily attendance and strive for 90% or higher attendance each day.
- Monitor and adjust student interventions.
- Track mastery of skills by lesson and report to the Summer Academy Director by the end of the week.
- Teach the required number of hours (~4 hours) from 8:00 am-2:30 pm daily.
- Lead students in operational parts of the day including arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dismissal.

Stipend Amount:
- $4,000 for completion of the entire program.
Open Roles: 1 Math Teacher, 1 Science Teacher, 2 credit recovery teachers (various content)
