Special Education Teacher -Secondary

We are offering $70 per hour for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team on the North Shore. This one-year contract position involves supporting students with diverse educational needs in a collaborative and engaging environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to facilitate student growth
• Implement evidence-based strategies to promote behavioral and academic progress
• Engage with fellow educators and support staff to foster a comprehensive educational experience
• Conduct assessments to monitor student performance and adapt teaching methods accordingly

Requirements

*Qualifications*

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities
• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques
• Experience in teaching life skills is desirable
• Background in literacy education is essential
• Capability to create and implement effective learning materials
• Experience in administering and evaluating standardized tests
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
