We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Mobile Development to design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance mobile applications that integrate with advanced Web3 technologies like blockchain and post-quantum cryptography. The role focuses on delivering user-friendly solutions for critical sectors, including the U.S. Department of Defense and critical infrastructure companies.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop user-friendly, performant mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers, to define and implement features.
• Implement secure communication protocols and data handling techniques
• Integrate mobile applications with blockchain technologies and Web3 infrastructure.
• Optimize application performance and ensure compatibility with various devices and platforms.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests to ensure application functionality, reliability, and scalability across all supported devices and platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following industry best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of mobile applications to ensure a seamless user experience.

Requirements

What you will bring to this role:

• This position requires candidates to be based in Boston, MA, or Montreal, QC
• 5+ years of proven experience in mobile application development for iOS and/or Android platforms, showcasing a strong portfolio of released applications.
• Expertise in mobile programming languages, including Swift for iOS and Java or Kotlin for Android, with hands-on experience in developing high-performance, scalable mobile applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building robust, maintainable applications and Python for backend development, scripting, or data-driven solutions, with demonstrated projects to highlight your expertise.
• Extensive hands-on experience with mobile development frameworks such as Ionic, with additional experience in React Native, Flutter, or other cross-platform technologies being highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles, with a track record of creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces backed by user feedback and performance metrics.
• Experience integrating blockchain technologies, Web3 frameworks, or distributed computing solutions, preferably within secure and regulated industries.
• Secure application development, including implementing encryption techniques, secure API integrations, and adhering to best practices for mobile app security.
• Demonstrated knowledge in integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend systems, ensuring seamless communication and data synchronization.
• A passion for innovation and a strong desire to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, including post-quantum cryptography, blockchain advancements, and verifiable credentials.
