Social Media Marketing Summer Intern - Agriculture Marketing Technology Startup

Make Hay, a new innovative technology company backed by Purdue University and High Alpha Innovation, is looking for a summer intern to help accelerate their mission around Amplifying and Empowering the Voice of America’s Agriculture Industry.  This is primarily a Marketing and Media role.  

Job Responsibilities:

Let’s keep this simple, after all, it’s Summer.  We are looking for a team member to 1.) help us with social media  2.) develop a content creator/influencer database, and 3.) help with creator outreach and recruitment.  

You are a strong candidate for this opportunity if:

• You like food (And perhaps knowing more about where it comes from) 
• You are interested in agriculture (Perhaps you are a farmer, or grew up on a farm, or live in Brooklyn and wish you lived on a farm)
• Social media is your ‘thing’ and you know how to navigate a variety of different platforms  (Yup, kinda obvious)
• You have Influencer and content creator experience  (That said, if you know how to use your camera phone, you could be both)
• You like a variety of media outlets and keeping “in the know” on all things pop culture. Scanning the daily news, keeping up with the conversations happening, is something you enjoy doing
• You want to be a part of a mighty, venture backed company with deep experience and a vast influential network
• You like to enjoy Summer. This work will be fun and flexible so you'll still have time to spend by the pool, on the beach or in the fields

Requirements

• Ability to dedicate approximately 20 hours/week to Make Hay through August 2024
• Ability to work as part of a remote team. The founding team is located in Boston, MA. If you are located in the area then you will have the opportunity to join the team in office.

Benefits

• You will receive a competitive hourly rate between $15.00-20.00 for the duration of the internship, based on experience
• There are no health benefits available for this position
• Make Hay will provide all equipment necessary including a company issued laptop
