School Nurse- Everett 1:1

Boston Speech is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Everett, MA. This is a 1:1 dedicated nurse position for a sweet elementary student who has brain cancer.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, contract position

Responsibilities: ALL for the one child

• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed
• Respond to and manage medical emergencies and provide first aid
• Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement individual health plans
• Educate students, parents, and staff on health and wellness topics
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records

Requirements

• Valid nursing license with current CPR and First Aid certification
• Prior experience working as a School Nurse or in a similar healthcare setting
• Knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments
• Ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
