Job Overview: We are actively seeking an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead diverse industrial, mission-critical, and life sciences projects. This role is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in engineering or architectural/engineering (A/E) consulting firms, looking to leverage their expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and FP (Fire Protection) systems.

  • Project Leadership: Guide project teams through complex industrial and scientific projects from inception to completion, ensuring technical excellence and practical execution.
  • Client Management: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, presenting proposals and updates effectively.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Oversee project timelines and financials, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain high standards of engineering and project delivery.
  • Business Development: Assist in the expansion of business by identifying new opportunities and enhancing the firm’s market presence.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10-20 years in engineering project management, particularly within E or A/E consulting environments.
  • Professional Engineering License: Preference for candidates holding a PE qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
  • Project Management Experience: A minimum of 7 years' experience in project management, with proven skills in managing schedules, budgets, and quality control.
  • Leadership: Capability to manage and lead project teams effectively. Experience in architectural, structural, or civil engineering with significant team management experience will also be considered.
  • Communication Skills: Strong skills required for client interactions, proposal writing, and conducting team qualification presentations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and Revit is essential.
  • Sustainability Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to sustainability in engineering practices.
