JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager - Supply/Assembly will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain and assembly operations within Prince Industries LLC. Reporting directly to the General Manager, they will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective production and delivery of products. They will lead and manage a team of professionals and work closely with other departments to meet customer demands while optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Lead the assembly operations to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee the production planning process to meet customer demands while optimizing resources.
- Manage and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Sales, to ensure alignment and support the overall business objectives.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and reduce waste.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in the areas of supply chain and assembly operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
- Proven experience in supply chain management and assembly operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards in supply chain and assembly operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field preferred OR equivalent years of experience.
- 5 + Previous experience in a management or leadership role within supply chain or assembly operations required
- Experience working in a machining and manufacturing industry. CNC Machining knowledge is preferred.
- High level on mechanical aptitude.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
- Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned.
