What You’ll Do

As an Operations Associate at Veritas Prep High School you’ll be an important part of the school’s operations team, providing operational and administrative support for students and staff at our Early College partner site at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC).  You’ll help implement effective and orderly daily systems and procedures and ensure that the Early College team has the supplies and information they need to support students taking classes at STCC. You’ll also ensure that students, families, and visitors to the Early College site feel welcomed and supported when they visit or call.

You will also:

  • Support Early College systems and procedures (arrival, lunch, dismissal, etc)
  • Support scheduling and coverage plans
  • Support staff and student technology
  • Maintain and organize Early College site space and materials
  • Support and backup main office/office manager
  • Answer calls, greet and process visitors, organize the office area, and ensure that the Early College site office reflects a professional, tidy appearance
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with the high school and the Early College site
  • Direct office communication by answering phones, addressing inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate staff members
  • Track supply inventory at the Early College site and restock the office as needed
  • Communicate relevant information to families
  • Assist with special events celebrating the achievements of our Early College scholars
  • Coordinate administrative preparation for meetings
  • Distribute breakfast, lunch, and snacks to students
  • Coordinate mailings and other communication
  • Make copies as required
  • Support members of the Early College Team with specific requests, as needed
  • Attend weekly planning meetings with Dean of Early College
  • Provide translation support

Requirements

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Ability to manage databases and use computer programs like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google suite
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technology
  • Experience in a school environment (preferred)
  • Associate Degree (preferred)
  • Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment
