Duties:

The dedicated NGAP Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of government agencies who utilize the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for competitive natural gas procurements. The Account Manager must effectively liaison between the federal agencies, the GSA contracting officer, and company program management team to ensure delivery of optimal service, client satisfaction, and retention. The Account Manager must effectively coordinate procurement participation, data collection, audit invoices, prepare findings and present savings, and enter data and information in GSA systems. In addition, the Account Manager will work closely with the previously mentioned team to ensure smooth post-auction enrollment and contract execution and generally to optimize business relationship.

The NGAP Account Manager position is a full time, entry/mid-level position reporting to company GSA Account Manager. The Account Manager will work with government customers to leverage the opportunities presented by deregulation. In this capacity they will work alongside other Government Customer Service Account Managers, some of which are full-time GSA employees, to determine if accounts are eligible for third party supply, managing relationships, and other associated tasks. The Account Manager is also a liaison between government customers and client's operations team, facilitating the flow of information and insight required to maximize success and satisfaction. The Account Manager is primarily responsible for the health of the relationship between the client, GSA, and the agencies that utilize GSA for energy procurement.

Requirements

Skills: The candidate should have:

-Strong attention to detail

-Ability to juggle multiple concurrent tasks and assignments

-Displays well-rounded communication skills that implement good listening techniques, clear, concise writing style; and good verbal skills.

-Must have strong analytical skills

-Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Critical thinking

-Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

-Ability to manage tight schedules and meet deadlines

-Flexibility and the ability to organize and prioritize a wide range of projects

-Ability to interpret responsibilities and possesses initiative to assume additional duties

-The candidate must be able to pass a background check conducted by GSA and obtain GSA credentials.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, statistics, Economics or Business required. Advanced degree a plus. 1 – 5 years of client services experience required. Energy industry and government experience a plus.
