Wealth Recruitment, LLC is a leading healthcare staffing agency specializing in the placement of highly skilled professionals in the medical field. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Medical Technologist to join our team.
As a Medical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by conducting complex laboratory tests and procedures. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, such as analyzing blood samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy of test results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory science, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures, including analyzing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and producing accurate test results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision of test results.
- Document test results, record data, and maintain accurate and complete laboratory records.
- Keep up to date with current research, trends, and developments in the field of medical technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, procedures, and protocols.
- Experience operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Requires the knowledge of clinical tests and standards necessary to perform highly complex tests as defined by CLIA (see appendix A) and accurately report results.
- Requires the analytic abilities to perform highly complex testing as defined under CLIA 88 as listed in the appendix A to interpret findings, perform calculations, calibrate instruments, review highly complex testing performed by other employees as defined by CLIA guidelines and so forth.
- Requires the ability to maintain compliance with all regulatory agency (e.g. JC, CAP, FDA, AABB) requirements.
- Requires the manual/visual dexterity necessary to prepare specimens, prepare solutions, screen specimens and operate a computer software system.
