Local Food System Driver

Looking to be part of a caring team that is working to make the community a better place? Growing Places, www.growingplaces.org, a nonprofit healthy food access organization serving North Central MA is seeking a driver for its local food aggregation and distribution program. The distribution driver delivers to households across diverse (20+) North Central MA communities according to pre-determined home delivery routes in a Growing Places vehicle. The position also supports farm pick-ups and produce drops to partner locations.

This is a year-round part-time 25-37.5 hour a week position. We are willing to be flexible when setting the initial schedule with the successful candidate.

Requirements

• Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking candidates will be given first preference

• Mission driven individual passionate about the community and local food system
• Comfortable driving a delivery van and truck, professional driving experience strongly preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Organized and autonomous
• Customer service experience
• Massachusetts Driver’s License
