Job Title: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist (Per Diem)

We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative KAP therapist for our Amherst location.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based ketamine-assisted therapy techniques that are tailored to each patient's unique needs and conditions.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including the infusion nurse, to develop comprehensive treatment plans that integrate ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with other clinical approaches.
  • Document patient progress and treatment goals in accordance with clinic policies and procedures, and communicate with patients' referring providers as needed.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of professional practice, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and clinical expertise, and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
  • Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to further your clinical expertise.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be an opt out provider with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current Massachusetts state licensure or certification as a mental health professional.
  • Understanding of ethical and legal standards of professional practice, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work per diem, with flexibility in scheduling to meet patient needs. (Note: As patient demand increases over time, there is the possibility to explore regular part time or full time hours).

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based ketamine-assisted therapy techniques, including psychedelic integration therapy
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting psychotherapy sessions, including patients with complex or treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
  • Familiarity with the risks and benefits of ketamine administration, as well as the clinical guidelines for the use of ketamine in mental health treatment.
