Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Guest Experience Specialist to join our immersive guest-facing team. You love performing, entertaining, and interacting with guests in a fun, high-energy environment. You excel at engaging diverse personalities and energizing groups through play, activities and interaction. In this role, you will create magical, memorable guest experiences through dynamic performance and engagement that is memorable. In this role you will also support special events and VIP experiences. In fulfilling your roles and responsibilities in this role, it is also expected that you uphold and model our culture, values and standards of conduct.
What You Will Do:
Your day-to-day will be dynamic, stimulating, and full of variety—no two days will be the same! Each shift, you'll have the opportunity to entertain, bring joy to guests, and embrace your playful side. You'll make a lasting impact on every visitor's experience at Museum of Ice Cream. Weekend availability is mandatory. You'll also be cross-trained in ice cream and treat delivery to ensure consistent guest service across all areas.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Represent Museum of Ice Cream brand with integrity and enthusiasm
- Welcome guests and other team members with professional, inclusive and respectful behaviors
- Interactive Guest Engagement: Greet guests with high energy, entertaining them through spontaneous and scripted performances that bring the museum’s exhibits to life.
- Performance Delivery: Lead performances in designated exhibit areas, engaging with guests and creating memorable moments of joy and wonder.
- Magic Moments: Jump into queues, high-traffic areas, or exhibit spaces to entertain guests while they wait, keeping the energy and excitement high.
- Scripted & Improvised Experiences: Master the scripted experiences for each room and area, while being flexible to improvise based on guest interactions.
- Master Museum Knowledge: Become an expert in each room and area of the museum, understanding the scripting of each experience and maintaining mastery over products, treats, and basic operational knowledge.
- Set-Up & Close Down: Ensure that performance spaces are well-maintained, clean, and set up properly at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ice Cream & Treat Delivery (Cross-Trained): Support the Service Team in delivering ice cream and other treats to guests, maintaining presentation standards and quick service.
- Guest Relations & Issue Remediation: Address guest concerns or complaints in real-time, using escalation pathways when needed, to ensure that guest experiences remain positive and enjoyable.
- Event & VIP Setup: Assist with performances and experiences for special events and VIP guests, ensuring high standards of engagement and service.
- Guest Relations & Issue Remediation: Both teams are expected to handle guest concerns in real-time or escalate issues appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth museum operations.
- Collaborate as a Team: Whether you're performing or assisting guests, collaboration between the Service and Show Teams is key to ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
- Cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness and organization by disinfecting and tidying spaces throughout the museum to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Perform Other Duties: Take on additional tasks as assigned by leadership, such as assisting with exhibit clean-up, preparing performance areas, and accommodating VIP requests.

Pay : $ 18.00 Per Hour
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Have's:
- 18 years or older
- 1+ year of experience in performance, acting, or entertainment, ideally in a guest-facing or interactive environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and energize guests through performance.
- Ability to maintain high energy levels and improvise in guest-facing situations.
- Willingness to assist with event setups, work VIP experiences, and be cross-trained in ice cream and treat delivery.
- Capable of resolving guest concerns in real-time or escalating issues to the appropriate manager when needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and move energetically throughout the museum.
- Comfortable improvising in various scenarios.
- Food Handler or ServeSafe certification preferred (we provide while on the job)
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
Essential Job Functions
