The Role: What You’ll Do
As the French Teacher at Veritas Prep High School, you will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to high school students. You will engage students in learning French grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, while also fostering a deep appreciation for the French-speaking world. In addition to teaching, you will collaborate with a team of dedicated educators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that prepares students for college and beyond.
You will also:
- Develop and deliver daily lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and instructional goals
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback on progress
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
What You’ll Need
- A strong command of the French language and proficiency in French grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Bachelor’s degree in French or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience teaching French language and culture to high school students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
