Role Summary:

The Financial & Insurance Analyst is critical to the future state of CRICO's finance department and data governance program. You will play a pivotal role in financial analysis, forecasting and insurance analysis. At the same time, ensuring that data is complete, accurate, and timely for operational and analytical usage. This role reports directly to the Head of Financial Analysis and Enterprise Data Governance.

Key Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial & Insurance analysis, reporting and projections, including trend analysis, loss analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial data and reports to the management and stakeholders
    Assist in evaluating and determine financial & insurance risks and opportunities related to insurance program when it comes to premium pricing, capital position, loss and reserve, and other activities.
    Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, assist with internal and external audits.
    Work closely with other teams, including underwriting, claims, actuaries, and IT to gather relevant data and provide financial insights.
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial & Insurance analysis and reporting.
  • Support the Enterprise Data Governance team to implement and operationalize data governance process, best practices, and software across the organization
  • Other activities and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with related software.
  • Strong experience using SQL and other programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
