Full Job Description
Bevi is on a mission to disrupt the beverage supply chain and replace single-use water bottles with smart water machines. Thousands of companies use Bevi to sustainably provide their employees with pure, sparkling, and flavored water at work. As the market leader in IoT-enabled beverage machines, we’ve raised over $160M in venture capital and we have grown tremendously each year since launch. In addition to maintaining hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.
We are searching for an Electrical Engineer who is excited to work on our hardware product with a cloud-based back-end and help bring new ideas from prototype to production. We’re looking for someone who has worked with PCBA designs that include networking, sensing and interfacing with other hardware components, who is ready to jump in and develop our next generation of products and help continually improve our existing products.
Our Electrical Engineer will:
- Be responsible for scoping of new projects by understanding the electrical system needs, as well as analysis and tradeoff studies to evaluate alternative design options.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop high quality and reliability products.
- Participate in all phases of the electrical engineering activities from design specification to production rollout, including validation and sustaining efforts.
- Develop circuit and PCB designs.
- Work on debugging, data collection and analysis to develop reliable systems.
- Design, test, and validate custom PCBAs, including power, high-speed, RF and networking circuits.
- Generate detailed electrical schematic and layout exports, drawings, and BOMs for PCBAs.
- Develop best practices for electrical engineering, release, and quality.
- Work with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot issues, evaluate change requests and execute changes to systems in production.
Requirements
- A team-oriented approach to problem solving and knowledge generation.
- Strong understanding of best practices for circuit design, including multi-layer PCB, high speed signaling, RF, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in using schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g. Altium Designer)
- Experience in the use of signal acquisition/analysis tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, data loggers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Hands on experience in PCB bring-up, debug, and failure analysis, including ability to rework SMT/TH circuitry components.
- Familiarity with DFM and DFT with regards to PCBA design and component/device selection.
- Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge in firmware development and programming languages such as C/C++ is a plus.
- Experience working in scaling start-ups is a plus.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of industry experience, preferably in product design or technology exploration in Robotics, Networking, Sensing, IoT or other similar fields.
