DevOps Engineer (Edge Computing)

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (Edge Computing) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and efficient solutions for edge computing environments.

In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated team of talented researchers and engineers to enhance our edge infrastructure capabilities. The focus will be on implementing robust DevOps practices and technologies to optimize the performance and reliability for deploying software to our edge computing infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the necessary infrastructure to support edge computing environments.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software to edge devices.
• Monitor and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of edge computing systems.
• Develop and maintain automated tools for system provisioning, monitoring, and operations.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in edge computing and DevOps practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a significant focus on edge or distributed computing environments.
• Experience automating using infrastructure as code.
• Proficient in using major CI/CD tools such as JFrog, Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
• Skilled in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with edge hardware devices and constraints, including deployment and maintenance challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with real-time operating systems and edge-specific security practices.
• Prior involvement in edge deployments or IoT projects.
• Knowledge of edge AI technologies and frameworks.
• Experience with network protocols and concepts tailored towards IoT and edge environments.
