The Braintree-based credit union is a cooperative, non-profit financial institution that offers a full range of financial services to individuals and business members.
The Deposit Operations Department is responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to our Members. Deposit Operations handles all aspects of ensuring our members' transactions are processed timely, accurately and in accordance with the regulatory requirements. In addition the department provides support for all products and services offered including our digital channels and Cash Management Services.
The Deposit Operations Analyst handles several critical aspects of transaction processing including ACH file management and reclamations, domestic and international wire transfers, remote deposits, and shared drafts. This person will interface with members as required, and will work with the BSA team to ensure OFAC compliance for wire and ACH transactions. while providing quality member service and satisfaction in accordance with the credit union's policies, procedures, and philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Complete the daily processing of Wires, ACH, Shared Drafts, and Mobile Deposits.
- Assist with the error resolution process for debit card and ACH transactions in accordance with Regulation E.
- Ensure there are comprehensive and current procedures in place for all functions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
- Provide backup to others in Deposit Operations as needed. This may include: processing and verifying file maintenance requests such as name and address changes, replacement cards, requests to close accounts, etc.
- Assist with the administration and support of all Digital Channels.
- Provide answers, research problems, and resolve discrepancies for both members and other employees in Wire and ACH areas of specialty. Be a subject-matter expert for the Credit Union in areas of specialty and ensure that knowledge on specialty is up-to-date by attending educational seminars and/or reading pending changes in rules and regulations.
- Assist with audits and exams.
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years experience in banking operations required, with a strong focus on ACH processing, shared drafts, wire transfers and cash management services
- In depth knowledge of digital banking platforms and their functionalities.
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines related to ACH, check processing, and wire transfers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
