Role Summary:
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst is responsible for compensation and benefits analysis and administration. This position provides subject matter expertise in: compensation, benefits, compiling data/reports, compliance, policy & procedure development, research, and communication. In addition, this position maintains high standards for HR customer service and provides support for the accuracy and maintenance of data in various HR systems.
Key Duties & Accountabilities:
- Conducts compensation analysis in alignment with CRICO philosophy, ensuring external and internal equity, including performing surveys to analyze market & industry wide trends, analyzing new & existing positions to determine appropriate classification, and salary level. In reviewing jobs for analysis, will update descriptions as appropriate.
- Leads annual merit and bonus planning cycle to ensure compensation is equitable, consistent and accurate by effectively presenting complex compensation data and insights to diverse audiences, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic alignment. Will also provide compensation support to the Compensation Committee.
- Provide guidance to managers and staff regarding benefits and compensation
- Conducts a variety of HR data analytics including various workforce statistics, benefit analysis, risk assessments, etc.
- Serves as backup to HR Administrator for bi-weekly payroll processing in collaboration with Finance and performs spot checks to ensure accuracy. Also, participates in year-end payroll process.
- Supports Senior HR Manager with benefits administration and annual open enrollment benefits cycle by participating in benefit strategy discussions, supporting online enrollment and employees. Also, assists with benefits and leave administration.
- Participates in and supports 401K audit
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HR practices, laws and regulations, and best practices in the industry; remains current: performs research
- Helps mitigate CRICO risk due to HR practices
- Participates in special projects and HR related committees
- Other related duties and ad hoc projects as required by position
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent; HR focus preferred
- 5+ years compensation experience required
- 3+ years benefits experience preferred
- In depth understanding of compensation structures, job evaluation, and salary surveys
- Understanding of federal and state regulations impacting compensation and benefits
- HRIS, and/or payroll experience required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights, including the acquisition and management of data.
- Capable of presenting the results of analyses and statistical information for specific audiences.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills
- Precision in preparing reports and ensuring data accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations
- Good judgment with high levels of and integrity and problem-solving skills
- Discrete; ability to maintain highly confidential & sensitive information
