Summary

As a key member of the operation team, the Buyer/Planner plays a critical role in the processing of material procurement and scheduling our production orders to meet our customers demand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and procuring the materials and services that our organization requires to meet our customer’s requirements. You will work with our vendors who supply these goods and services, obtaining quotation, negotiate for prices and arrange for the purchase and delivery of the goods.
  • Schedule the inflow of materials to effectively release the kitting of materials for production work order, balancing raw material and finish goods to ensure our product ships to customer on time.
  • Interacting with internal team members to ensure that the customer requirements are clearly understood and all necessary materials and services will be available to support the production build.
  • Maintain quotes and standard cost data for all purchased materials and services.
  • Manage supplier’s performance, reporting monthly on effectiveness of their quality and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain the hazardous waste cabinet and log.

Requirements

  • This position requires a detail oriented, highly motivated individual with a positive attitude who is reliable, a quick learner, and possesses exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience within related technology manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is required.
  • Experience with ERP is preferred.

Candidate will work from written and verbal instructions and must be fluent in English. Military Veterans are encouraged to apply. Due to customer requirements, must be legally eligible to work in the United States (employment visa sponsorship is not available.)
