Full Job Description
We are currently hiring for the position of Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant. As a Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and assist in providing therapy to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders, as well as a variety of other disorders. This is a wonderful opportunity to utilize your language skills and make a positive impact on the lives of students. This position is based in a school setting and offers flexible hours.
The rate for this position is $45 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in evaluating and diagnosing patients
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide therapy sessions in multiple languages to improve speech and language skills
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Assist in educating patients and their families on communication strategies
- Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
- State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Fluency in a Spanish
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- Ability to grow and develop Speech Pathology skills through hands-on experience
