Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in project management within the construction industry. The Assistant Project Manager will support senior project managers in coordinating and managing construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets. Provide support in managing project tasks and deliverables.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence. Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordination: Facilitate communication between project team members, clients, and stakeholders. Help coordinate meetings, project updates, and site visits.
- Scheduling: Assist in the creation and management of project schedules. Track project progress and report on any delays or issues.
- Quality Control: Support quality assurance efforts by monitoring construction activities and ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Budget Tracking: Aid in tracking project expenses and ensuring that costs remain within the approved budget. Assist with financial reporting and cost analysis.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential project issues or challenges. Provide support in developing and implementing solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: No prior experience required; internships or relevant coursework in construction or project management are a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and documentation.
- Problem-Solving: Basic problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
