Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

The Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) is a highly skilled and experienced advanced practice registered nurse responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to adult and geriatric patients. The AGNP works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care, manage complex medical conditions, and promote health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments of adult and geriatric patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribe medications and treatments
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in quality improvement activities
• Stay up-to-date on the latest clinical guidelines and best practices

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited university
• Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• Current RN license in the state of employment
• Strong clinical skills and experience in adult and geriatric care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
