👋 In case we've never met before, we're WebMechanix - an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Columbia, MD. We run high-impact performance marketing programs for over 65+ clients, which means we have to understand our clients and our client's customers intimately and manage a lot of digital marketing and advertising to reach them.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Analytics Implementation Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in helping us measure and optimize the performance of our digital marketing efforts across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have intermediate-to-advanced level experience with Google Tag Manager, Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other ad/martech platforms/tools.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for following and implementing agency-defined standards for website tagging, event schemas, and conversion logic.
  • Regular audits of existing implementations.
  • Refactoring of existing implementations.
  • Helping scope measurement implementation project work.
  • Supporting the internal teams and clients with debugging support as needed.
  • Investigation of new ways to improve efficiency and measurement accuracy.

Requirements

Here’s what you’ll have:

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager, including best practices for keeping a container as lean, and organized as possible.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Javascript (especially regarding GTM, and other ad/martech).
  • Intermediate knowledge of CSS, and how to leverage query selectors for measurement telemetry.
  • A solid understanding of how to properly configure and debug consent management platforms (CMP) such as OneTrust, CookieBot, etc... 
  • A solid understanding of data privacy regulations such as the CCPA, GDPR, E-Privacy, and other similar laws related to data collection and consent.
  • Strong experience with advertising tools/platforms such as (but not limited to) GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Rudderstack and Segment.
  • Solid understanding of web analytics principles, data collection, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms such as HubSpot, and Marketo is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal teams and directly with clients when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a web analytics role - with a focus on front-end data measurement implementation, testing, and planning.
  • Agency experience is preferred*

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000.

Based on experience, alternative titles for this position may include Web Analyst, Analytics Implementation Developer, Analytics Specialist, GA4 Implementation Specialist, Digital Implementation Specialist, or Web Implementation Strategist.
