Water Resources Design Engineer

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Water Resources Design Engineer to join our client's team. As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and design solutions related to water resources projects.

Responsibilities:

• Developing stormwater management plans and designs
• Performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and analysis
• Preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
• Conducting site visits and inspections
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
• Participating in project meetings and communicating with clients

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hydrologic/ hydraulic design experience, particularly knowledge of local/county government, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia guidelines and permitting processes for storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment & erosion control plans, bridge scour analysis, floodplain analysis and/ or stream restoration design.
• A licensed professional engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Other desired skills include: Rosgen Stream Certification Level 2 or higher, familiarity with project contractual requirements and experience working effectively as a liaison with Regulatory Agencies, General Contractors and Owners.
• Some experience with project development/management is desirable.
• Excellent computer skills, including CADD/Civil 3Dand/or MicroStation design software and hydraulic modeling programs along with Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary
