RMC is hiring for a VMWare Administrator who will provide administration support to an enterprise virtual RDT&E environment. The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of an enterprise virtual environment that includes both traditional vSphere environments and VMWare Cloud Foundation (vCF).
The selected applicant will possess the following:
- Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT& enterprise.
- Provide support for vCF components such as SDDC Manager, vCenter Server, vSAN, and NSX.
- Provide support the virtualization of both Windows Servers, desktops, and Linux based virtual machines.
- Provide support for the integration of vSphere with Windows Active Directory.
- Provide monitoring and performance support to include monitoring virtual disk space, virtual CPU / Memory utilization, storage capacity, and availability of virtual systems.
- Provide support for ISSOs in implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards and project reporting requirements.
- Provide ACAS/Nessus vulnerability and scanning support.
- Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a classified or unclassified network environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and three to ten (3-10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is required.
- Or, Six (6) years of additional related work experience or an associate degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certification Requirement:
- The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE).
Clearance Requirement:
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start.
- Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
