Tier 1 Network Support Specialist

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Tier 1 Network Support Specialist. This is a full-time benefitted hybrid position based in the New Carrollton, MD area. This is a night shift opportunity with weekend support.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and analyze network outages using network monitoring tools such as HP Network Node Manager, eHealth, Riverbed Tools, and Statseeker
• Use tools to identify root causes, isolate problems, create tickets and escalate to Level 2 & 3 for resolution
• Provide regular status updates and reports
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Six months professional work experience
• No experience needed with a vocational technical school certificate (exp: CompTIA Network+)
• Basic user knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Basic user knowledge using Microsoft Office suite

• Strong written and oral communication skills are required
