System Administrator, Senior

RMC is hiring for a System Administrator who will provide System Administrator support to an RDT&E environment.  The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of windows workstations and servers and perform hardware and software installations. 

The selected applicant will have to possess the following skills: 

• Lead the support of virtual and physical workstation and server configurations.
• Independently perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a classified or unclassified network environment.
• Conduct Windows 10 workstation and Server 2019 administration.
• Lead the support of the virtualization platform for Windows systems (VMWare ESXi).
• Conduct ACAS/Nessus vulnerability and scanning support.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Controllers.
• Monitoring performance including monitoring disk space, utilization, capacity and availability.
• Support ISSOs in implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards.
• Create and maintain user accounts and install hardware/software.
• Perform system backup and recovery.
• Administer network security measures.
• Manage storage allocation, space, and replication strategies.
• Analyze and resolve problems related to storage systems and network storage solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex storage problems.
• Provide recommendations on storage upgrades and supports project integration as required.
• Experience with Veeam and Rubrik backup utilities a plus.
• Experience with NetApp, EMC Isilon, VNX, DataDomains, NAS, and SAN.
• Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.

Requirements

• A master’s degree and ten (10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is desired but not required. 

• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE).

• An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start.  Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
