About the Role
As a Senior Fire and Explosion Risk Consultant, you will:
- Apply empirical and CFD-based dispersion, explosion, and fire models for consequence analysis using tools such as PHAST, FLACS, and MATLAB.
- Conduct hazard evaluations, including HAZID and HAZOP studies, area classifications, and both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Utilize your knowledge of modeling tools to analyze deflagration and explosion dynamics, overpressure effects, vapor cloud explosions, BLEVEs, and flame radiation.
- Write and present technical reports, collaborating with clients to communicate findings effectively.
- Support marketing and business development efforts to drive success.
What You Bring
- Expertise in fire and explosion consequence modeling and hazard analysis.
- Hands-on experience with modeling tools such as PHAST, FLACS, and MATLAB, as well as a solid technical background in combustion and fire dynamics.
- Familiarity with industry standards like API, NFPA, ISO, and others.
- Knowledge of processes and hazards in industries like LNG facilities, refineries, and offshore installations.
- High-caliber communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience engaging with U.S. regulators or key stakeholders in safety engineering (advantageous but not essential).
