Senior Date Engineer (15.16)

OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

OCT is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Known as America's Gatekeeper, DCSA is the largest security agency in the federal government dedicated to protecting America's trusted workforce and trusted workspaces. Within DCSA, the Senior Data Engineer will apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis and build high quality prediction systems integrated with products for the DOD Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC) System of Systems (DSoS) Program. This position is contingent upon contract award.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis and building high quality prediction systems integrated with products.
  • Implement analytics and models that address customer objectives.
  • Use data and statistical experience to make suggestions, improve upon, and refine methods.
  • Automate scoring using machine learning techniques and build recommendation systems.
  • Manage 1-3 junior engineers, overseeing daily tasks and operations to ensure high quality and timely delivery
  • Track team activities, accomplishments, and deliverables on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.  

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience data engineering for the federal government on a full-time basis.
  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (to include PowerPoint, Visio, Project, OneNote, SharePoint, Power BI).
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Must hold a current DoD Top Secret clearance, and able to obtain and retain an SCI Eligibility.

Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000-185,000 commensurate with experience, education, etc.
