The Registered Nurse monitors the health and wellness of the Individual to ensure that the people that we support are receiving the proper health and medical care that are person-centered and aligned with the Department of Disability Services.

Technologically savvy.

Experienced working with individuals with developmental disabilities (one year).

Experienced working in psychiatric mental health settings or specialized training in psychiatric mental health nursing (two years).

What You Do:

• Utilize monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention, and critical thinking skills to care for TCS individuals.   
• Ensure all interventions in the patient's care plan are implemented efficiently with a person-centered approach. 
• Leveraging the resources and expertise of the Total Care Services, Inc. team and our supplier partners to implement collaborative workflows, standards, policies, protocols, guidelines, and documentation systems to support safe, reliable, high-quality, evidence-based care with clinical protocols as the foundation.
• Implements MD orders and coordinates the patient’s care plan with the medical regime, therapy services, and community resources to facilitate comprehensive ongoing care maintenance for your assigned caseload.
• Enter in each Individual’s record written notes on a monthly basis, or more often if indicated as a part of the Individual’s plan of care. Assistance in this activity may be delegated to other nursing personnel.
• Coordinate the development and ongoing review of each Individual’s individual care plan.
• Give technical supervision to other nursing personnel, including LPN.
• Assist as needed in the delivery of other required program services.
• Assist in meeting the psychosocial needs of the program participants.
• Provide protocol-driven assessment, care coordination, and interventions as appropriate for diverse patient populations.
• Exhibit sound clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills. 

Requirements

Requirements:

• Provide evidence of license as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia and Maryland with at least one year of experience in medication administration and hands-on nursing care. 
• Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a safe driving record.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Current CPR certification with the ability to renew annually.
• Must be a US citizen or alien who is lawfully authorized to work in the US.
• Must be fully vaccinated and pass all pre-employment qualifications.

Work Schedule: 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (flexible as needed)
