Title: Regional Sales Manager
Summary of Position:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing a sales and marketing plan for the Lease and Rental Department to meet the Company's sales and profit objectives, on both an aggregate and individual branch basis. The Regional Sales Manager will accomplish these activities through planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the activities of the Lease Sales Department. This position will start as an individual contributor and have the ability to build and lead a team within the region.
Requirements
Sales and Business Development
- Develop and initiate actions to meet company sales and profit objectives.
- Develop an annual marketing plan that will identify potential lease and rental customers, maintain contact with our existing customer base and help in the achievement of the company's sales objectives, on both an aggregate and branch basis.
- Keep current on vehicle market trends, competitive activities and pricing.
- Generate and review lease deals and qualify for acceptance.
- Supervise delivery of the lease vehicles to customers.
- Handle customer issues expeditiously in keeping with Company policy.
- Attend business and civic functions as assigned by management.
Administration and Reporting
- Maintain records of individual account managers, and branch sales performance and solicitation efforts, and review with management.
- Review all documents related to lease contracts to assure they are complete and meet all Company and legal requirements, and are properly executed. Verify that lease applications presented to finance and insurance sources are complete, and properly prepared.
- Prepare sales reports, maintain CRM files, and other records, as directed by VP of Sales
- Maintain control over all sales department costs.
- Evaluate operating performance as reflected by the daily operating controls, monthly financial statements, and other reports, and take such actions as are required to meet the Company budget and sales objectives.
- Analyze lease sales operations and recommend revisions for management approval.
- Assist management in developing the Company lease sales goals, and budgets.
Supervision and Leadership (as team is built and developed)
- To direct account managers so as to achieve the annual full-service lease/rental marketing goals.
- Assist the account managers in proposal preparation, presentation, and closing of opportunities.
- Meets and reviews the Sales activity and Work Plan of Account Manager.
- Contact each lease customer a minimum of once every other month.
- Recruit, interview, hire or dismiss personnel.
- Train employees to perform job functions.
- Prepare and assign lease sales solicitation activities.
- Evaluate and counsel with sales employees on job performance.
Qualifications:
- College degree or progressive professional experience in the industry in lieu of degree
- Direct industry experience required in heavy truck leasing
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the truck leasing and renting industry in a sales position
- Ability to understand and learn computer operations required by the Lease Sales Department.
- Excellent communication skills and excellent managerial skills.
