Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a talented Project Estimator to support our Navy customer in Indian Head, MD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing and determining project costs, enabling effective decision-making for multiple comprehensive modernization and construction initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of analyzing various factors influencing project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation
- Assess labor, material, and equipment requirements and costs to develop accurate project budgets
- Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and other stakeholders to discuss project scope and clarify any uncertainties
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather relevant data for cost evaluations
- Research and evaluate historical data to inform future project estimates
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presenting findings to senior management or clients
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure alignment with estimates
- Adjust estimates as necessary when changes or discrepancies are identified
- Utilize estimation software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference
- Collaborate on templates and tools to assist with the standardization of project estimation
Requirements
- Associate degree with five (5) years of relevant experience in cost estimating is required; or a High School diploma with ten (10) years of relevant experience in a related discipline/cost estimating
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, or comparable systems).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- An active DoD SECRET clearance is required. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $95,000 to $115,000 (annually).
