Work Performance Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Duration: 6 Months (Potentially 12 Months)
Salary: $25 - $35 per Hour

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Contract Business Analyst - Temporary Power BI Analyst. The purpose of this position is to assist with the creation and development of complex education data reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. Experience with K12 education data is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive data collections and data elements and load the data into the Power BI data inventory
• Develop guidelines for dashboards, reports, and data visualization
• Perform data analysis based on client's data reporting guidelines
• Create complex reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders (public)
• Develop report archives for historical reference and long-term, secure storage and retention (< 7 years)
• Develop report and dashboard templates in accordance with client branding initiatives
• Analyze data received from various agencies and transform the data to meet the business and technical needs of the end-user
• Upload data into the Power BI application and perform data validation
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Adhere to data security and privacy best practices
• Perform data quality checks to validate data accuracy.
• Provide weekly status reports which include, but are not limited to:
• a. Tasks Completed
• b. Tasks Planned
• c. Risks/Issues
• Perform other duties related to MSDE Microsoft Power BI projects
• Be able to work both remotely and onsite at the client location in Downtown Baltimore, MD

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
• Two years of experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Must be available to work onsite at client location in Downtown Baltimore as required by the position
• K12 education experience is preferred.
• State and/or federal reporting experience based on data from an educational setting is preferred.
