Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Position Type: Full-Time / Contingent

Salary Range: Starting salary is $118k (depending on experience).
Work Location: Hybrid (see onsite requirements below).
 
**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training/tasking may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Installs, configures, and maintains the Local Area Network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
• Performs system monitoring and verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
• Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
• Analyzes network and server resource consumption and control user access.
• Installs and upgrade software and maintains software licenses.
• Assists in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience providing network administration
• At least three (3) years of experience performing work related to the essential functions. 
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, OR has one of the following CWF certifications: CEH; CompTIA Cloud+; CompTIA Security+; CFR; GICSP; or SSCP.

Security Clearance:
Must have an active or interim secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education: BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, OR has one of the following CWF certifications: CEH; CompTIA Cloud+; CompTIA Security+; CFR; GICSP; or SSCP.
