Responsibilities

  • Perform complex interventional radiology procedures under the guidance of physicians
  • Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for procedures
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in interventional radiology
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
  • Valid and unrestricted certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in interventional radiology
  • Extensive knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and techniques
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting specialized interventional radiology equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality images
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Benefits

Location: Kansas City, KS 

Class/Area: Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $2,320- $2,560 depending on your experience

Length of Assignment: 14 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Shift and Time: 10 Hour Days | 0800-1830

Schedule Details:10 Hour Days

Weekend Rotation: None

On-call Requirements: None

Holidays Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: Will float to all IR departments

Experience Required:  3 years IR experience

License Required: ARRT – Radiography

Certificates Required: Kansas State Board of Healing Arts; Can interview without KS license and apply upon offer

Certificate Preferred: Vascular Interventional Radiography Post-Primary Certification from the ARRT (VI)
