Kids' Campus Early Learning Center is MORE THAN JUST A DAYCARE! We are a growing, high-quality child care center serving families with 6 weeks old infants to 12 year old school-aged children. Kids' Campus is Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Licensed and Maryland Excels level 4, providing a developmentally-appropriate curriculum to families seeking early education programming.
Kids' Campus is nestled in Dunkirk, Maryland, a charming city in rural Calvert County minutes from the Nation's Capital and Upper Marlboro, MD.
Kids' Campus Early Learning Center is hiring for Infant and Toddler, Preschool and School-Age Lead Teachers. Lead Teachers MUST meet ALL MSDE and OCC childcare lead teacher qualifications and/or hold a Personnel Qualification Evaluation (once called the Orange Card) completed by the MD Office of Child Care.
Candidates who are Montessori trained must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of Montessori principles and superb creativity and understanding.
Requirements
Candidates who are Montessori trained must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of Montessori principles and superb creativity and understanding.Required education:
- Associates' or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/ Development, or
- CDA- seeking or qualified in either Infant/Toddler, Preschool and/or School-Age
- MSDE/ Office of Child Care Qualified for Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and/or School-Age qualified
- For Montessori guide: Must have over 1 year Montessori lesson planning and classroom experience as a Guide or a Lead Teachers
Required license or certification:
- 90-Hour Curriculum Development certification (Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and/or School-Age), or
- Received your CDA within the last 5-10 years; or
- Montessori Certification
Required Experience:
- Lead Teacher - 1 or more years
- Child Care Aid- at least 1 year
Responsibilities for each Lead Teacher:
- Instruct infants, pre-school and school-aged children in educational activities designed to promote social, emotional, intellectual, and creative growth;
- Maintain the safety, health, and well-being of all students;
- Uphold the classroom schedule and routine, while establishing and maintaining the classroom aesthetic and environment to foster steady creativity and learning;
- Coordinate regular assessments and maintain student portfolios throughout the year, reporting to administration and families as appropriate;
- Communicate with administration on students' growth and progress; and
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
