Full Job Description
The HR & Payroll Supervisor is an on-site role, at our Bethesda Gym (20814) that will be responsible for the day-to-day HR and Payroll function for 100 employees across 5 personal training gyms, in CA, DC & MD.
Reporting to the UK-based Head of Global HR and working alongside the UK HR and Payroll teams with on and off-boarding, general employee queries and administration, bi-weekly payroll processing including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments, employee relations, policies support for onsite managers and benefit & healthcare enrolment.

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred, depending on experience).
- Previous experience in HR and payroll roles is essential. We are ideally looking for someone with experience in: multi-state or multi-jurisdictional, irregular and variable working hours, overtime, rest & recovery & meal break compliance.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software, ideally in ADP Payroll Processing.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reasonable level of competence in using Word, Power point, Excel and HR software.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in handling sensitive employee information and adhering to professional standards and regulations.
- Flexible and adaptable to navigate changes in laws, regulations, technology, and organizational needs, particularly in a dynamic multi-state environment
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in California, Washington D.C., and Maryland, including wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and benefits requirements.
- Capable of analyzing data, generating reports, and making data-driven decisions to support HR and payroll functions and compliance efforts.
