Geriatric Nursing Assistant

We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team. As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care to elderly patients in various healthcare settings.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant preferred
• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and practices
• Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to elderly patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical endurance and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
• Flexible schedule and availability to work different shifts
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
• Assist with mobility and range of motion exercises
• Administer medication to patients based on physician orders
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Document and maintain accurate records of patient care
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for elderly patients
• Follow infection control protocols and other healthcare facility policies and procedures

Pay Rate: $592@37hrs weekly

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 10 weeks

Hours per Week: 37

Shift and Time: Morning 7:00am-3:30pm

Requirements: Every other weekend required

License Required: GNA License

Certificates Required: BLS

Housing Assistance: Provided
