Data Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time / Contingent

Salary Range: Starting at $91k (depending on experience)
Work Location: Hybrid (see onsite requirements below).
 

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training/tasking may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Discovers opportunities for data acquisition and sensor integration.
• Performs systems engineering for databases and data processing systems.
• Develops data systems, architectures and models.
• Leverages high-performance computing infrastructures into systems architecture.
• Recommends best architectures, tools, and technologies to address organizational needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required:

• Experience in data engineering support
• BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience

Security Clearance:
Must have an active or interim secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience.
