RMC is hiring for a Corporate System Administrator to support our headquarter office in Lexington Park, MD. The Corporate System Administrator is responsible for day-to-day operation of the corporate back office systems and network. This candidate will also perform technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.

Requirements

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily system monitoring including verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and coordinate/ communicate with impacted users
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts and mailboxes per request utilizing Active Directory and Exchange
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media for onsite and offsite backups
  • Perform regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessments to identify any possible threats and address risks
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities, and configure and add new services as necessary
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • Desktop, server, and application provisioning through approved vendors
  • Troubleshoot helpdesk tickets and provide guidance to end users 

Education/ Experience: A bachelor’s degree is highly desired. Three to five (3-5) years of related experience required. The candidate selected must have experience installing, maintaining, and supporting VPN and VOIP technologies, Windows Server, Linux, Exchange, SharePoint, Audio and Video equipment, as well as network routers and switches. The selected applicant must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies. 

Security Clearance: An active clearance is not required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
