Computer and Information Research Scientist

Position Type: Full-Time / Contingent

Salary Range: $136K-$152K (depending on experience)
Work Location: Hybrid (see onsite requirements below).
 

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training/tasking may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
 

Essential Functions:

• Provides emerging technology discovery, exploration, introduction, and acceleration support.
• Conducts technology gap analysis and roadmap planning for new products.
• Develops alternatives, improvements, and solutions for computer hardware and software issues.
• Other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Experience in computer and information research required.
• At least three (3) years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description.
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science OR has the identified Cybersecurity Workforce (CWF) certification of CompTIA Security +.

Security Clearance:
Must have an active or interim secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science OR has the identified Cybersecurity Workforce (CWF) certification of CompTIA Security +.
