Join a Leading Cardiology Practice in the DMV Area!

We invite a talented, board-certified cardiologist to become part of one of the DMV's premier cardiology practices. Join a team committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and healthy workplace culture that values both professional growth and exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced general cardiologist to join our growing team in Greenbelt, MD. As a member of our practice, you’ll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to provide exceptional cardiac care to a diverse patient population in a private practice setting. You will be responsible for offering high-quality healthcare services and ensuring that each patient receives personalized, evidence-based care. You will also engage with patients and staff in a manner that upholds the highest standards of medical care and professionalism.

No hospital rounding or hospital call is required for this role.

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • On-Call: Scheduled office on-call hours (phone calls only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute, episodic, and chronic cardiac conditions, using evidence-based practices.
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic procedures such as lab tests, echocardiograms, ECGs, MRIs, and CT scans.
  • Perform exercise stress tests and nuclear stress tests with competence and precision.
  • Prescribe medications for cardiac disorders, carefully monitoring for adverse effects and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Educate and counsel patients on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and prevention strategies.
  • Refer patients to other healthcare providers and specialists as necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain open communication with collaborating physicians and specialists to ensure coordinated care.
  • Complete necessary continuing education to maintain licensure and board certification.
  • Provide timely responses for urgent patient assessments during scheduled office hours as part of the care team.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs at the unit/program level.
  • Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and state regulations, ensuring compliance with licensing, certification, and institutional policies.

Pay: $400,000.00 - $450,000.00 per year

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified in Cardiology 
  • Valid and unrestricted Maryland state physician license, or ability to obtain
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare and Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental programs
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Energetic, motivated, and collegial
  • Strong clinical acumen, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, eClinicalWorks preferred
