Ripple Effect is looking for an Administrative Support Intern who applies knowledge and skills in support of projects and departments while gaining the benefit that comes from experiential learning. This role will work closely with Ripple Effect's Business Operations team to support a range of projects.

  • Location: Ripple Effect Headquarters – Rockville, MD 
  • Employee Type: Non-Exempt, Part-Time/Temporary (minimum 20 hours per week)

  • Telework: Partial (at least 3 days in-office)
  • Number of Openings:
  • Salary Range: $17.20 - $26.00 per hour (how we pay and promote) 

Responsibilities 

  • Support administrative functions across the team and division
  • Greet guests and visitors that come into the office
  • Assist with restocking and maintaining supplies in common areas of the office suite
  • Enter data, upload files, maintain records in web-based systems, and verify data quality
  • Provide daily ad-hoc support for a variety of team projects
  • Coordinate, execute, and track tasks and initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members on projects, brainstorming, and team activities
  • Participate in team and departmental meetings
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Second-year undergraduate college student (2 years from graduation date)
  • No professional experience required

Basic Requirements 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service to others
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to be in the office at least 3 days a week on a set schedule

Skills That Set You Apart 

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and/or Project
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Previous in-office experience
