Next Phase is seeking a talented Senior Strategic IT Solutions Architect or Program Technical Lead with a proven track record in developing winning solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). We are a top federal solutions provider searching for a dynamic individual proficient in solutioning for federal proposal efforts, particularly for DHS.

This role offers a $25,000 signing bonus upon meeting all specified requirements.

As a Senior Strategic IT Solutions Architect/Program Technical Lead, you will be a key driving force in architecting innovative IT Solutions that address complex challenges within DHS's IT and engineering domains. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design high-impact solutions that enhance DHS IT operations, showcase them in winning proposals, and provide thought leadership to senior and SES-level DHS leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Collaboration: Work together with DHS clients to comprehend their strategic goals and technical needs.
  • Solution Design: Architect scalable and secure solutions for DHS systems and capture the solutions in winning federal proposals.
  • Presentation Development: Develop materials and participate in major presentations to senior DHS leadership.
  • Innovation Integration: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, recommending and incorporating innovative approaches into our solutions.
  • Business Support: Support the Business Developer in account growth and new business efforts.
  • Relationship Building: Utilize personal relationships to gain access to decision-makers and build opportunities to present unique solutions.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Program Technical Lead supporting DHS.
  • Trusted relationships with DHS clients are a significant plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience developing briefings on complex technical topics and delivering presentations to senior and SES-level DHS leaders.
  • Experience developing technical portions of DHS proposals.
  • Experience developing DHS systems.

Leadership:

  • Fifteen (15) years of total experience in engineering or IT, with at least three (3) at DHS.
  • For eight (8) out of fifteen (15) years, served as a Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, or Technical Program Manager.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required
  • A Master's degree in a related field is highly desirable.

Certifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.

Availability

  • Ability to attend in-person meetings at DHS on a regular basis.

Residency Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder to perform this role.
  • Must be a US citizen to perform on DHS programs.
  • Candidate must have established residency in the US for the past three (3) years.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Signing Bonus Edibility:

  • The $25,000 signing bonus is contingent upon meeting all the above requirements and successfully completing the onboarding process.
