Warehouse Assistant
This role supports the logistics team in organizing, handling, transport, and picking duties.
The Warehouse Assistant reports to the Warehouse/Logistics manager.
Warehouse material handler responsibilities:
General Tasks:
- Transport materials to specified areas for use and return them to their proper locations.
- Pick and pull materials needed for upcoming jobs.
- Receives delivery of materials and performs required inventory control transactions.
- Complete and process required inventory control transactions according to company/department standards including scanning and cycle counting.
- Process return, if excess material, according to department standards. Includes use of inventory control system to adjust quantity to update inventory.
- Maintain materials in a manner that facilitates FIFO product rotation.
- Maintain all warehouse and yard conditions are kept in a neat and orderly manner.
- Performs daily housekeeping duties in the production and/or warehouse areas including sweeping, collecting trash and collecting damaged product.
- Work with co-workers to ensure effective production and/or warehouse operations to meet all material handling performance standards.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and ensure the equipment is in good working order by checking and reporting equipment problems.
- Follow all safety guidelines.

- Job completion controlled by material availability
Requirements
- Highly organized and very attentive to detail
- Some computer skills
- Well-spoken, clean appearance and good client manners
- Clean driving record, valid license and ability to drive small and large service vehicles
- Drug free
- Ability to work 40-50 daytime hours per week
- Ability to pass background check

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
Salary starts at $20-24/hr based on qualifications. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision insurance and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually.
